I believe such people are well worth a raise! They are good, no ego, and I am pleasantly surprised. Gave them a 5 stars! Not sure why Google keeps deleting my review.

We had an older Heatmaker combination unit boiler that was 32 years old that needed to be replaced. We started out with several estimates and first decided what could be used in our space constrained garage. We decided on a Navien combination unit and focused a obtained a couple more estimates. Dawson in fact was one of the last estimates we obtained. While Dave from Dawson had the benefit of us being well along the learning curve, he was able to answer all of our questions about the new unit and how best to solve the condensate dilemma. He even was spot on with regards to treating our well water to minimize scale buildup in our new boiler. We knew we had reached that point where we felt we had found the best installer in Dave.

Dave verified his condensate solution with the local township inspector and we scheduled the install date in two weeks. Carlos and Pablo showed up on time and dismantled the old unit and piping and did a first rate and well thought out installation job. Carlos had extensive experience installing these Navien units and it really showed. They managed to work in a tight space that PSE&G’s installers would not have with relocating a well tank. After all the plumbing was done, Ricky did the electrical work and adjusted some final dip switch settings before firing up the new boiler.

Dave and his crew really are top notch. His front office staff (Wanda and Ondrea) made the PSE&G interest free financing and permitting approval process seemless. We are looking forward to the operation and efficiency of our new high efficiency boiler for years to come.

If you are installing a Navien high efficiency combo unit, we highly recommend using Dawson Mechanical!

Dawson Mechanical was instrumental in my successful switch from oil to gas heat when they installed Navien combi units in my home. The install was executed flawlessly and the cost per value for the product and service was reasonable.
Dave and his staff Wanda, Randy and William were knowledgeable and professional. Dave walks you through the process step by step and was accommodating to answer my numerous questions.
When the inspectors came on two different occasions they both asked who did this job because they said you don't see craftsmanship like this anymore. I look forward to working with Dawson Mechencal for the maintenance of these units for years to come.

Just before Christmas 2022 our furnace started venting steam out the chimney. We called Dawson (who converted our furnace to gas) and they came out two days before Christmas and replaced the entire unit. Dave even called me on Christmas Day to check if it was working! However, when I got home we noticed water on the floor. A small crack had developed in the close to 100 year old cast iron return pipe. Matt came out a few days later and replaced the entire return system with all copper pipe and it works like a charm and looks good too.

We have been planning a renovation for the past few months (kitchen and bathroom). Part of that renovation was a new tankless water and water softener (which was sorely needed given how hard our water is). Matt installed those two systems over the course of two days.

Dawson Mechanical has been reliable and their prices are competitive with other plumbers in our area. They work quickly, cleanly and most importantly the things they install work. I have recommended them numerous times.

The low reviews seem to be from people confused as to not only how services are priced, but how people in New Jersey act. Plumbing and electrical are skilled trades and the people doing those jobs deserve the money they get. Dave and his employees have always been truthful and respectful. I will continue to use them in the future.

Dave responded quickly to give an estimate on a boiler replacement at my mom’s house. He properly sized the unit, gave a verbal estimate and followed up with a hard copy via email within 24 hours. Office staff, Wanda, was very responsive. Crew came on time on scheduled day. Crew leader, Carlos, was knowledgeable and professional, answered all our questions. Job ran into some electrical issues-bad switch, old wires, but the team resolved. Carlos took the time to explain proper care for unit. Job site was left cleaned. Mom was very happy with the installation. Thanks for a great experience.
