Stuart Borthwick on Priority Plumbing & Drains

Tony Saracini came out this morning to repair a kitchen sink drain that had corroded away from the lower plumbing. He provided a great service in a quick time. Nice man providing a needed service, all that you can ask for. The booking process was easy and the price was reasonable.

I am happy with the work and would recommend their services. 10/10.

Great service from start to finish. I really appreciated the text reminders and the phone calls with updated, accurate arrival times.

Cole Tubigan was knowledgeable, polite, and genuinely keen to help. It’s clear he enjoys his work and wants to do it well! All my questions were answered, and any concerns I had were thoroughly reviewed.

Highly recommend!

Will not use again because of steep pricing

**Note:
Just want to raise some red flags here based on the company's response after my original review:

(1) "The faucet installed was not a big-box retail model and is not sold at Home Depot. It is a higher-quality fixture. ... ... and long-term performance. The stainless finish also adds to the cost."

Red flag - The technician had reassured us numerous times on the day of the service that the "stainless finish" costs the same as the chrome or other finish. This shows that the company has aggressively marked up the faucet or overcharged for their labor. The "higher-quality" faucet shown in the picture below should not cost you more than $500 as per Home Depot, even though it is not available through the retailer.

(2) "Your total price included ... ... the enrollment in a pre paid maintenance plan, plus all the applicable taxes."

Red flag - We were not made aware, clearly informed or provided with any copy of the "enrollment in a prepaid maintenance plan" as things were explained quickly and vaguely on a tablet by the technician and no such detail had ever been brought up. On top of that, the invoice did not mention any enrolment plan at all. In fact, the invoice with the Terms & Conditions was only emailed to us 30 mins after the technician left. Basically I was asked to sign something (on a tablet) that I had not been shown other than the signature box. Please make sure you ask and go through those important details to protect your consumer rights, as they were not very upfront about during the service call.

Original review:
This was a weekday, non-emergency service call for a seized emergency shutoff hot water valve and slow-flowing hot water that costs us a total of $1939.22, after a “member savings” of $179.57 discount as indicated in the invoice.

The whole process took close to 2 hours from 9 to 11am, with 1 hour spent on the actual repair and replacement of two water valves + a new kitchen faucet (Moen brand regular pull down faucet, retail price ~ $250-$300 at Home Depot), the remaining time was spent on inspections, quote discussions and upselling.

The technician showed up on time to start off with a “full-system check” looking for potential plumbing issues within the house, even if you called them in for just one issue. Personally I thought it was great to have a professional plumber to go through and check the plumbing, and if you are comfortable with being upsold with various other services afterwards.

The technician was very personable and professional and we were happy with his service throughout, and our place was kept clean at the end of the repair. The repair/ replacement itself was a straightforward job, the undersink was cleared for the technician without any obstruction before he started. There was enough space to work around and it was an easy access to the valves and faucet.

We initially chose Priority Plumbing because we wanted to support local businesses as they are located in the community. We assumed that their pricing would be competitive and reasonable hence we did not think twice before agreeing to what the technician was proposing and quoting us. At the end of the day, we wanted it to be done by a reliable company that has been around for years.

Will we use them again? Probably not after finding out that there are better pricings out there for the same work which would cost way less than $1900! We did later ask Priority Plumbing for a detailed cost breakdown of what we had paid for since they only emailed the invoice to us after the technician left, which was 30 minutes later.

Their customer service team later responded, “because we are not a time and material company, there is no hourly rate and therefore I have no way of breaking down the price into a time and material cost. We work on a flat rate, upfront pricing system.”

So, you can decide for yourself if you want to pay a premium for a similar job that can be done by another company or licensed plumber for much less.

Carla Daniele on Priority Plumbing & Drains

Our experience with Zachary Tsuruda was fantastic from start to finish. From the moment he arrived until the second he left, he was professional, kind, and extremely thorough. He took the time to clearly explain all the work that needed to be done and provided us with different estimates for our sump pump and the under-the-sink leak, which we really appreciated.

Zachary left everything clean and tidy, and his customer service was excellent throughout the entire visit. Priority Plumbing arrived exactly when they said they would, and this continues to match our past experiences with them, we have used Priority Plumbing before and have always received great service.

We highly recommend Zachary Tsuruda and Priority Plumbing.

Shoutout to Priority Plumbing, these guys are fantastic!

My Dad has used Priority Plumbing multiple times over the years, including two recent service calls to my grandpa’s apartment. Both experiences have been professional, thorough, and genuinely helpful.

They don’t just fix the immediate problem, they take the time to inspect the rest of the plumbing system and let you know about any potential issues down the road.

The first visit was great, and on the second one, we had Zachary come out. He replaced a worn-out fill valve? (The work was done a while ago and i forgot exactly what was done for the toilet, my bad) which had degraded over time from the harsh chemicals of a toilet tank cleaner (good to know and lesson learned. Avoid leaving those in the tank!).

While he was there, Zach also noticed a developing clog in the kitchen sink drain. The sink was still draining okay for now, but he explained that it would likely get worse over time and could become a much more expensive repair later. There was zero pressure or hard-sell tactics. Just clear, honest information so we could make an informed decision. We ended up having the pipes cleaned right then and there, as it felt like the smart proactive choice.

The whole team was excellent. The dispatcher (I unfortunately forgot her name) called ahead to ask if there was anything specific we wanted to mention, and I received a helpful text with a live tracking link so I knew exactly when Zach would arrive.

Overall, top-notch communication, honest advice, quality work, and no gimmicks. I’m not a homeowner yet, but when I am, Priority Plumbing will be my first call without hesitation!
