Really appreciate Milani's services when it comes to regular maintenance of our furnace and tankless hot water. Our technician, Sia, was very professional and very helpful. He even reminded me that Fortis BC offers a rebate for the maintenance of both our tankless water system and our furnace. I greatly appreciate that recommendation. We use Milani every year to maintain our furnace and hot water tank. Highly recommend.
They're great at booking your job and taking a $100 deposit so that you don't contact another company... but they don't even show up. Milani gave me a 3 hour period of arrival and didn't show or call during those 3 hours, during which I had an active water leak.. I called them and they kept saying they'd get back to me. Now, 6 hours later, they have told me they can't get back to me today, but will send a technician tomorrow morning. That's unacceptable and incredibly disappointing.
I had used this company in the past and they were reliable, which is why I called them again. This experience was a serious disappointment.I paid approximately $1,300 across two service visits for a boiler/heating issue that was never resolved. The first visit involved several hours of diagnostics and a proposed explanation that did not fix the problem. When the issue continued, I was told to book a follow-up and was advised it would be treated as a “warranty” call. Instead, I was charged the initial fee and hourly rate again and given a different diagnosis, with no resolution.Recommended work was left incomplete. When I later asked if they could return to finish the job, I was told they would need to send another technician and charge the initial hour and hourly fees again.Shortly after, the system shut down completely and the home was left without heat, requiring reliance on space heaters. Paying repeatedly for diagnostics without a fix is unacceptable. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this company for heating repairs.
We had a dropped undermount kitchen sink. Milani sent someone quickly (
It must be luck of the draw as to what plumber is sent to you as my experience was not good. I had 3 very simple tasks: change the bathroom sink faucet, bath shower head and faucet, and change out my washing machine lines. All three jobs were done wrong. The sink faucets handles were on backwards, he left the old neck of the shower head and the washer lines were brought through the frame and the washing machine, making it impossible to go into it's proper position. When he came back to fix it he said the taps were NOT installed wrong but it was my design preference for them to face the other way. Why he didn't change out the shower head neck? "If I remove that, I don't know what I'll find". Why am I paying for a professional when I got an amateur? I asked him to leave without switching it out as I did not have faith he knew what he was doing. Not to mention, the first plumber from Milani called in sick so that was 3 morning I was late for work. When I called to let them know they offered $50 off my next service, their call out fee is $225 keep on mind.I was charged $770, lost income and have a job left undone. I do NOT recommend Milani Plumbing.
