Amazing service from start to finish.Linda was incredibly patient with all of our questions, especially since this was our first time replacing a hot water tank. Even after the scheduling was completed, our strata requested additional documentation, and Linda responded quickly and provided everything we needed without any hassle. We contacted two other companies, and Pioneer’s pricing was very reasonable in comparison.The technician, Ben, arrived on time and took the time to explain everything clearly before getting started. He noticed a dent in the new hot water tank and immediately called a colleague to pick up a replacement. Just under two hours later, he cane with a brand-new tank. That level of care and attention really impressed us.Another technician, Stephen, came out to look at our furnace. He was also very friendly and quickly identified the issue, providing us with a quote. While the cost felt a bit high for the work required, we were so happy with the service overall that we decided to proceed. He completed the job within an hour.I would definitely recommend Pioneer Plumbing and Heating. The entire experience was top-notch from beginning to end. He called my mom prior to arriving, introduced himself, and ensured we fully understood the process for replacing our water heating tank.The customer service over the phone was exceptional, friendly, patient, and understanding of our concerns about the leaking tank. Scott replaced the tank efficiently, and when we had questions about the hose positioning, he even came back the next day to fix it.Not only was the service excellent, but the price was also very fair. Pioneer Plumbing & Heating Inc. is a reliable and approachable company. If I could separate out aspects of the service I would give 4 stars for the tech and 1 star for overall customer service. The tech was great and troubleshot the potential issues, eventually landing on that our hot water on demand system should be flushed. They told me that the fluid they use is $100 and that it would take 1 hour to complete. I agreed and verbally authorized the work without asking for an official quote/work order (my mistake). The work was completed and one week later the invoice arrived for $450. I inquired with the sender if I could receive a breakdown of the cost (parts, labour, travel time). The reply was “no they would not provide that and I agreed to the quote with the tech at the time”. I called in to try and better explain I wasn’t disputing the work, just that I would like to know how the final number was derived. No call back for 3 days. I called again and was told their manager would contact me. He did call but I was unavailable at the time so he texted me to say that the owners policy is they don’t provide breakdowns of the invoice and I would not be getting that. He then quoted the website that stated a written quote would be provided at the time of service and I had agreed to that quote (even though that wasn’t the case and they couldn’t provide that to me). I begrudgingly paid the invoice and moved on with life. I then received multiple text messages from the company asking me to review them, so here I am providing a review of my interaction.
We had an issue of a leak in our building that was causing a massive water draw. We wanted to have someone come in to assess whether our unit was the issue, as we could hear running water behind the wall in our bathroom.I had previously used another local company, Mr. Rooter - which I had been happy with. And while I can’t fault the quality of the work they did for me, something has gone by the wayside in terms of their customer service AND their prices have increased dramatically. Not to mention they weren’t going to be able to get to me until after the weekend.I called Pioneer Plumbers and they were able to fit me in the next day, with a price that was more down to earth. The plumber they sent was fantastic! He made a thorough investigation in our apartment, and then went into the stairwell and basement to listen to the pipes. In the end he properly assessed that our unit was not the issue, but gave us critical information that we were able to pass on to the strata council.Very happy with the service we received.Thank you Pioneer Plumbers! My new go-to plumbers!
