Yesterday the regulator on the tap on our bathtub broke and we could not turn off the water and consequently had to turn off the water to the house. I managed to get a hold of Thunderbird Plumbing who said they could have some one there between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm if not sooner,. A little after 1:00 pm Zack Arrived in the Thunderbird Sprinter Van. He quickly set to work repairing the tub. He also asked to see the water turn of valve where he noticed the water pressure limiter wasn't attached to the house water line but only the outside line. He then checked the water pressure in the house and discovered, as you can see in the picture that it was at 100, when it should be at 75. He suggested replacing that and pointed out that the hot water heater overflow was overfilled and tilting and suggested he replace that as well. While admiring our newer washer and dryer he noted they lacked water hammer arresters. Same for the newer dishwasher up stairs. He said they are code now and should have been stalled with the new appliances. My brother was a city electrical inspector and his son is one now. I know what code is. Every time Zack suggest a repair he would explain what and show me the exact cost on his tablet and tried to give me discount if possible. In the end he replaced the regulator, hereplaced the flush system on the upstairs toilet tank, replaced the water pressure limiter and installed a new valve and installed three water hammer arresters, and replaced the hot water tank overflow tank. It was quite a bit of money, and while my wife still works I am a pensioner. However, high water pressure is like high blood pressure, it is a problem waiting to happen . I feel much better about the house plumbing and Zack did such a good job minor cosmetic jobs I can do myself. I would highly recommend Thunderbird Plumbing and Zach J for your plumbing needs..
